Elliott Comments on Latest Fermanagh Security Alert
Ulster Unionist MLA, Tom Elliott, has condemned those behind the ongoing security alert in the Wattlebridge area of Fermanagh and called for anyone with information concerning the incident to make it known to the PSNI.
In a statement the Fermanagh & South Tyrone assemblyman said: “Those responsible for this ongoing alert regarding 2 alleged devices abandoned near Wattlebridge are causing needless disruption and fear within the community. I would urge those responsible to cease such pointless activities as they are achieving nothing and will ultimately achieve nothing.”
Tom concluded: “Irrespective of who made the call claiming the presence of these devices, what group they supposedly represent or what cause they feel they are progressing I would call on the community at large, who is quite rightly sick of having to endure such incidents, to pass on any relevant information to the PSNI.”
