FIRE SERVICE PRAISED FOR EXTINGUISHING FIRE AT FIVEMILETOWN HOTEL – ELLIOTT
Ulster Unionist Assembly member for Fermanagh & South Tyrone, Tom Elliott MLA has praised the 40 fire-fighters who effectively extinguished the fire which broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning at Four Ways Hotel in Fivemiletown.
Tom said: “I commend the Fire Service on their prompt action in preventing the fire spreading to other nearby properties and that a staff member was led to safety before the fire service arrived and 20 people were evacuated from properties on the Main Street as a precautionary measure. I trust that PSNI officers who assisted make a speedy recovery from smoke inhalation and commend all the emergency services on their professionalism.
I trust that the owners will be able to re-open the hotel in the near future. The main street is now re-opened again and all businesses in the town are fully operational.”
