Ulster Unionist Leader Tom Elliott led a Party delegation which met with representatives of the IFA the IRFU and the GAA at Stormont today to discuss issues relating to the funding requirements for upgrading sports venues and the implications for the three sports of the Justice Bill.
Speaking after the meeting Mr Elliott said; "Todays meeting with the Governing bodies of the three main sports was both constructive and informative. It provided the three sports with an opportunity to brief the Ulster Unionist Party on progress on their proposals to upgrade their key venues of Windsor Park, Ravenhill and Casement Park, and also to raise concerns which they had relating to proposals in the Justice Bill as they affect the three sports."
Today provided a welcome opportunity to exchange views and explore ideas as to how to work with all three sports, develop mutual understanding and respect, and I look forward to further meetings to discuss matters of common interest."
