Mr Elliott said: "The Northern Bank in Kesh has been very much part of the local community for as long as I can remember.

 

"The operation of the Bank in Kesh has very much been a community operation down the years between local businesses, local farmers, local residents and the local society.

 

"I am saddened to learn that in a short time the bank will no longer be part of the immediate community. I am not aware that any consultation has taken place about this decision. I thought it would have been appropriate to listen to the views of the customers before making this decision."
